Respect, Safety & Inclusivity

  • No harassment, threats, or bullying in posts, comments, messages, or live streams.
  • No hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • No impersonation of others, including public figures or community members.
  • Respect privacy and do not share personal information without explicit consent.
  • Foster supportive interactions and constructive dialogue.
  • Teen users (13-17) have stricter safety defaults with AI moderation and nudity protection.

Content Rules

  • Content depicting violence or sensitive topics must include Educational, Documentary, Scientific, or Artistic (EDSA) context.
  • AI-generated or AI-edited content must be disclosed as "AI-generated" when prompted.
  • Sexual content, nudity, or adult material is strictly prohibited for minors.
  • Violence, gore, abuse, illegal activities, and misinformation are forbidden.
  • All private messages are end-to-end encrypted and scanned only for safety violations.
  • Use clear language, avoid offensive words, and respect differing opinions.

Reporting & Enforcement

  • Use the Report button on posts, comments, messages, or profiles to report violations.
  • Reports can include spam, abuse, CSAE/CSAM, nudity, harassment, or misinformation.
  • Inappropriate content may be deleted or restricted from public view.
  • Repeated or severe violations result in temporary or permanent account suspension.
  • Minor violations may trigger educational prompts or warnings.
  • Users can request a review if they believe content was removed unfairly.

How to report

  1. Click three dots on any content.
  2. Select "Report" from the menu.
  3. Choose the violation category (spam, abuse, CSAE/CSAM, nudity, harassment, misinformation).
  4. Provide additional details and context through in-app reporting forms.
  5. Submit your report for review by our moderation team.

Response time

Emergency reports (CSAE/CSAM, self-harm) Immediate

Limitations of SOS Feature

The Harborleaf SOS feature is designed to enhance user safety but is not a substitute for emergency services (112/100).

  • Real-time responses are not guaranteed.
  • Users are strongly advised to contact local authorities in critical or life-threatening situations.
  • Harborleaf facilitates rapid alerts but cannot replace verified government emergency networks.

Emergency Situations Include

  • Self-harm or suicidal content.
  • Threats to life, severe abuse, or criminal behavior.
  • Cyberbullying targeting minors or vulnerable users.
  • Child sexual abuse/exploitation (CSAE/CSAM).

Emergency Protocols

  • Immediate AI detection: Unsafe content triggers instant alerts to the moderation team.
  • Temporary restrictions: Posts, chats, or accounts may be frozen to prevent harm.
  • Guardian & law enforcement notification: Teen Accounts under supervision notify parents/guardians; critical cases reported to NCPCR, CERT-IN, or local authorities.
  • User support: Harborleaf connects affected users to emergency resources, mental health support, or verified NGOs.
  • Rapid resolution: All high-priority emergency cases are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 72 hours.

Community Responsibility

Everyone plays a role in maintaining a safe environment.

  • Harborleaf relies on users reporting violations to maintain a safe environment.
  • Users are encouraged to engage responsibly, educate peers, and adhere to these guidelines.
  • Business, Creator, and Premium Account holders must also follow rules, ensuring brand presence aligns with community safety standards.
  • Parents supervising Teen Accounts must actively manage privacy and engagement settings.
